Meet Bob Bloodworth
My First Life
I've always loved working with my hands. As a kid, when I didn't have any real tools, I would take an old broken toaster or radio and bust it on the sidewalk so I could see what was inside. With age, I developed my knowledge and tool collection, to the point where I could use both to my advantage.
I spent the vast majority of my career rebuilding and troubleshooting commercial air conditioning systems in South Florida. I relocated to Central Florida, and I built a couple of things out of wood and realized I needed a scroll saw. I had never really used one before, so I had no idea what I was doing. I ran across an add on Craigslist for an old and abused $10.00 Makita scroll saw. I bought it and stopped by Lowes on the way home and bought some pinned blades. Once I figured out that the pinned blades were the wrong choice, I fell in love with my $10.00 scroll saw and the rest is history.

My Second Life
Now that I'm pretty good with a scroll saw, I can spend more time creating and less time learning. But don't get me wrong, the learning never stops, it is just absorbed quicker and easier.
Fortunately, I have been able to turn that $10.00 scroll saw into a second career. No, I don't make the same amount of money that I did repairing commercial A/C units, but now, I don't need to. It's enough to keep me out of trouble and into new tools and wood when I want.
I still love taking a flat piece of nasty looking wood and turning it into a beautiful and useful item. It is a great feeling when people are willing to trade me their hard earned money for a piece I created on my scroll saw.
I have since upgraded that $10.00 scroll saw, I still have it, it doesn't see much use anymore, but that's why I upgraded it. For some strange reason, I just can't seem to get rid of it.
